What runners say about Girls on the Run of Union County NC
“One of the most rewarding volunteering experiences I've had was volunteering to coach a Girls on the Run of Union County team.”
From the reviews
After being involved for 23 seasons as a coach, I can honestly say that I love this program and what it means to young girls! Young ladies in Union County are learning how to choose friends, take care of their bodies, do things for their community, and take pride in being part of GOTR.
My daughter has loved being part of Girls on the Run for 2 1/2 years now. The volunteer coaches and GOTR Union Co team are always so encouraging and foster an environment of care and support. GOTR has been a great experience. I would certainly recommend it.
One of the most rewarding volunteering experiences I've had was volunteering to coach a Girls on the Run of Union County team. It was so much fun that I coached for 6 seasons and then joined their board to support this awesome organization's future in Union County!
My girls and myself have all experienced the joys of Girls on the Run - this program is learning how to prepare for a 5K, but it’s also so much more than that. There’s an entire curriculum that nurtures self-worth, empowerment, relationships, teamwork, and being true to who you are and shining bright in that reality.
