10 years of US parkruns just celebrated on June 4, 2022. Free weekly timed 5k put on by volunteers. Show up by 7:45 for a first timers briefing and then run starts at 0800 in the summer months and returns to 0900 in the fall.
Just show up and run, jog, trot or walk a 5k every Saturday in the company of inspirational people of all ages and levels of running expertise!! 🏃🏻♀️🏃Thank you to all the volunteers and the motivational energy shared by all❤️
Had a lot of fun at the Livonia Michigan Parkrun, the 1st Parkrun in USA too! (Next weekend is the 10th anniversary). The course was 95% on grass and dirt trails, after yesterdays rain it was a messy course today—which made for some good fun! The volunteers were excellent and made sure I linked up with the faster kids.
Everyone is super friendly and made us feel like we have known them forever. My son loves to run and with them being so nice he wants to keep coming back
